Internal cash transfer fields

If you generate an internal cash transfer from a source document, such as an internal cash transfer (plan), its fields are populated automatically from that document. You can edit them if necessary.

To learn about the fields of an internal cash transfer, see the following table.

Field Description
Amount A cash transfer amount.
If foreign exchange accounting is enabled (the Foreign exchange accounting checkbox is selected in Settings > Cash management), you can select a cash transfer currency.
<cash transfer currency code> A cash transfer currency.
It is automatically filled with the functional currency specified in Settings > Cash management.
You can select another currency. The list of currencies is based on the Currencies catalog.
The field is available if the Foreign exchange accounting checkbox is selected in Settings > Cash management.
Cash flow item A cash flow item assigned to an internal cash transfer.
Base document A source document for an internal cash transfer.
It is prefilled when you generate an internal cash transfer from another document.
You can specify a base document manually and then click import_data.png to import its details.
Number An internal cash transfer ID.
It is automatically generated when you post an internal cash transfer. You can edit it.
You can find internal cash transfers by ID in the Internal cash transfers list.
Date Date of the internal cash transfer's register records. By default, it is the date of the internal cash transfer's creation.
Company A company that transfers the Amount between their accounts.
A list of companies is based on the Companies catalog.
This field is only available if the Manage multiple companies checkbox is selected in Settings > Company.
From A payment method and source account from which Amount is transferred.
A payment method determines the type of accounts available for selection. Do one of the following:
  • If you need a cash account, first, select a cash method (Cash asset type is set to Cash-in-hand in the payment method details). Then, select a cash account. The account list is based on the Cash-in-hand accounts catalog.
  • If you need a bank account, first, select an electronic method (Cash asset type is set to Electronic in the payment method details). Then, select a bank account. The account list is based on the Bank accounts catalog. It is filtered by the selected cash transfer currency if foreign exchange accounting is enabled (the Foreign exchange accounting checkbox is selected in Settings > Cash management).
To A payment method and destination account to which Amount is transferred. Select them in the same way as for the From field.
