Scenarios
Scenario is a global separator of planned and actual data. You can associate all accounting and financial information stored in the configuration database with a particular scenario. This allows you to create several plan options (optimistic and pessimistic) for the same period and compare them to each other and to the actual data once it is available (variance analysis).
The list of scenarios is stored in the Scenarios catalog.
If the scenario reflects planned data, for which update is expected, in the Actual data field, specify the corresponding actual data scenario for update.
If you select the Automatic change of symmetric indicators of intercompany transactions check box for the scenario, every time you change one of the related intercompany indicators in this scenario, the symmetric indicator will be changed automatically.
The catalog contains the following predefined items:
- Plan for limits.
- Reserve.
- Actual.
Use these items to create budgets and monitor their performance.
