Business units
The list of companies, branches, and other business units is stored in the Business units catalog (alternately known as Companies).
This is a hierarchical catalog with a hierarchy of items. You can group business units by consolidation perimeters used in the company.
The Business units item form contains the following fields:
Type. Type of the business unit. Example:
Tax resident. A legally established company that keeps its accounting records.
Unincorporated entity. An organizational entity form that is created under the laws of a foreign country (territory) without legal incorporation (this includes funds, partnerships, associations, trusts, and other entity forms related to collective investments and/or trust management), which is self-entitled to pursue commercial activities for the benefit of its participants (shareholders, trustees, or more) or other beneficiaries.
Eliminating business unit. A virtual organizational entity form used to register adjustments to consolidated data.
Financial responsibility center or consolidating business unit. An organizational entity form used to register data not related to statutory entities.
Kind. Legal entity or individual (important for legally significant entities).
Name in the application. Name that is displayed in the application forms.
Full name. A legal name.
TIN. The taxpayer identification number.
Main contact person. Contacts of the contact person. For example, an email address for notifications.
Registration country. Country of residence where the company is registered.
Bank account (main). Details of the main bank account of the company.
Consolidating company. The default parent business unit for the company. Used for filling in regulations.
Company status for consolidation. The default relation to the consolidating company. Used for filling in regulations.
Company kind. The default company kind. Used for filling in regulations.
IFRS accounting policies. Descriptions of the accounting policies currently in use.
