Currencies
The Currencies catalog stores the list of currencies. For each currency, specify numeric and alphabetic codes.
From the Currency item form, you can open the list of currency quotations in various jurisdictions. From a quotation form for a specific jurisdiction, you can view the exchange rates for specific dates.
For the purpose of calculating an exchange rate between a pair of currencies, you need to define one of the currencies as a base (triangulation) currency. Exchange rates are set relative to the base currency. Cross exchange rates between currencies are set relative to the base currency. The base currency exchange rate is assumed to be equal to 1.
The Rate attribute is closely related to Multiplier. If the multiplier is equal to 1, fill the Rate field with the number of base currency units corresponding to this currency unit (the normal exchange rate). If this currency exchange rate is low compared to the base currency (precision level is less than four decimal places), in the Multiplier field, specify the number of currency units accepted for quotation (quotation currency unit), and in the Rate field, specify the amount in the base currency corresponding to this number of currency units.
