Warehouses and stores catalog: Delivery
Here you can set up warehouse shipment processes using transport delivery tools.
There are two shipment options:
- Pick goods according to the delivery procedure
- Goods picking priority doesn't depend on the delivery sequence
The Pick goods according to the delivery procedure option is used when the following shipment procedure is applied in the enterprise:
- First, an Itinerary is created. It determines the goods delivery sequence (trips are generated for delivery routes).
- The warehouse keeper then starts picking, packing, and transferring goods to the outbound area according to the sequence of these Itineraries.
The Pick goods according to the delivery procedure option has the following advantages:
- The sequence of Itineraries and warehouse operations for preparing goods to be shipped is synchronized.
- You can assemble goods separately for a separate Sales order or for all orders specified in the Itinerary.
- You can load goods directly into vehicles, without keeping them in the outbound area first.
- You can consider the delivery route when loading goods into a vehicle. For example, goods to be unloaded last must be loaded into the vehicle first.
If you select the Goods picking priority doesn't depend on the delivery sequence option, the warehouse keeper has no access to the Itinerary.
