All documents you create go to document journals. For posted documents, transaction records are available.
Using document journals

Issuing preliminary invoices
Before delivering an order, you may need to ensure that the order meets your customer’s requirements. In this case, you can send a proforma invoice. It is often a part of international transactions for customs purposes on imports.
In 1C:Drive, you can easily generate a proforma invoice based on a sales order.
Developing pricing strategies
Prices are integral part of any sales transaction. They can vary depending on the situation where they apply. 1C:Drive helps you store, classify, and analyze your prices. This ensures that your sales go on best pricing conditions.
The table below describes how you can manage your prices. The information is by tasks and tools supporting them.

If prices no longer apply, you can easily recalculate them. A price list can show product variants. For example, t-shirts of certain size or color. To view variants, turn on product accounting by variants. |
You can easily update prices when you process a sales document by switching between:
- units of measure
- currencies
- prices types

As you switch, 1C:Drive recalculates prices.
For units of measure settings, see Units of measure catalog.
To set up a currency, price type, and discounts for a sales document, use its Prices and currency settings.
Making flexible discount plans
Discounts are an intrinsic part of the sales process. With 1C:Drive, you can set a variety of discounts:
Manual discounts are discounts that you define for a certain customer on the level of the customer’s contract. The discounts apply to the sales documents that you create for the customer.
Automatic discounts are dynamic discounting rules. They apply to the sales documents matching the rule conditions.
Early payment discount is a percentage discount that you provide if a customer pays an invoice within a specified number of days. For example, a 5% discount for invoices paid within 15 days.
To set up discounts, work with the Discount types list.
Defining payment terms
Sales are based on contracts that you conclude with customers. Payment terms are an intrinsic part of contracts. 1C:Drive helps you register contracts and their payment terms including:
- Currency
- Payment method (for example, electronic or cash-in-hand)
- Payment type (for example, single payment or payment by installments)
- Pricing terms (for example, wholesale prices)
- Discounts (for example, early payment discounts)
When you create a sales document based on a contract, 1C:Drive automatically prefills the payment terms. This ensures your sale goes in compliance with the contract. You are free to change the payment terms manually for a certain sale.
Defining delivery terms
Sales end up with order delivery. Clear delivery terms ensure your customers receive their order at the right place and time. 1C:Drive helps you define the delivery terms including:
- Delivery method (for example, self-pickup or by logistic company)
- Shipping address
- Delivery dates
- Incoterms
The delivery details are available on printed forms of sales documents such as order confirmation, proforma invoice.
Estimating sales order profitability
When you sell products, you may need to negotiate sales order terms with a customer. As a result, in some cases, you change the terms. The changes affect potential profit of a sales order. So, you need to ensure the changes do not cause the profit loss.
1C:Drive provides you with the profit estimation tool. You can use it before the final offer to check how sale order changes affect its profitability.
Making stock reservations
When you sell products, you need to ensure that stock is sufficient for delivering orders in time.
In 1C:Drive, you can easily check stock availability and reserve the required quantity for your orders. The stock that you have reserved is not available for other orders.
You can track your reservations using the following reports:
Report name | Report sample |

Tracking backorders
A customer can order products that you do not have in stock. In this case, you usually register a sales order and place a purchase order to restock the products. These products go on backorder. 1C:Drive automatically makes pre-reservation for them.
The Backordered items report helps you monitor your backorders. So, you can ensure that you comply with the delivery deadlines and fulfill your commitments.
