Components tab
The Components tab of a production order contains the list of components a customer delivers to the company to manufacture the ordered products.
The tab is only available if Process type of the production order is set to Assembly or Disassembly.

| Field | Description |

| Consume from | A warehouse that stores the components to be assembled into a product. The field is only available if Process type is set to Assembly. |
| Product | A component name. |
| Variant | A component characteristic. For example, color or size. You can specify a variant if accounting by variants applies to the component (in the component's product card, on the Additional data tab, the Variants checkbox is selected). The variant list is based on the Product variants catalog. |
| Batch | A component batch code. You can specify a batch if accounting by batches applies to the component (in the component's product card, on the Additional data tab, the Batches checkbox is selected). |
| Quantity | The number of component units required for production. If Quantity is populated from a bill of materials that has Normal scrap % specified, it is increased by the Normal scrap % value. |
| Reservation | Quantity of component units stored at your warehouse that will be reserved for this production order. The field is only available if Process type is set to Assembly. |
| Unit | A unit of measure for the component. Automatically populated from a component's product card. If a component comes in various units, you can specify the unit manually. |
