Operations tab

The Operations tab of a production document contains the list of operations that were completed during production.

It is only available if Process type is set to Convert from Work-in-progress.

Field Description
Operation An operation name or short description.
The list of values is based on the Operations catalog.
Quantity The number of times an operation was completed during production.
When you generate a production document for a product that has a bill of materials (BOM), Quantity is calculated by one of the following formulas:
  • If a product Unit is a base unit, then
    Quantity = product Quantity from Finished products tab / product Quantity from BOM
  • If a product Unit is an additional unit, then
    Quantity = product Quantity from Finished products tab / product Quantity from BOM × conversion rate of an additional unit
GL account A GL account for recording work-in-progress inventory balance.
It is available if the default accounting is applied (Use default type of accounting is selected in Settings > Company).
