Routing templates catalog
Routing is a sequence of operations required to manufacture a finished product. Routings are required for production planning. If your production processes regularly follow the same routings, create routing templates. Then you can use them to quickly populate the routing details in bills of materials (BOMs).

1C:Drive stores all routing templates in the Routing templates catalog. To open it:
- Go to Production.
- Under Catalogs, click Routing templates.
In this catalog, you can:
Viewing routing templates
To view routing templates:
- Go to Production.
- Under Catalogs, click Routing templates.
The list displays the details for all routing templates. The details may vary depending on the list settings. The following details can be displayed:
- Description. A routing template name or short description.
- Code. A routing template ID.
To quickly find a routing template in the list:
- Sort the list by any column by clicking its header. To change the sorting order, click the header again.
- Search the list using the search field above the list.
Creating routing templates
To create a routing template:
- Go to Production.
- Under Catalogs, click Routing templates.
- Click Create.
- In the Routing template (create) window, enter the following:
- Code. A routing template ID. It is automatically generated when you save a routing template. You can edit it.
- Description. A routing template name or short description.
- Click Add and specify the following operation details:
- Seq. number. The operation’s sequence number in a chain of production operations.
- Followed by. A sequence number of operations that follow this operation.
- Operation. An operation required for manufacturing a finished product. The list of operations is based on the Operations catalog.
- Repeat step 5 to add as many operations as required.
- Click Save and close.
Editing routing templates
To edit a routing template:
- Go to Production.
- Under Catalogs, click Routing templates.
- Double-click a routing template line.
- Edit the routing template details as described in Creating routing templates.
- Click Save and close.
