Warehouse management overview
In 1C:Drive, the Warehouse management module is designed to help you manage and monitor warehouse transactions. With this module, you can register and manage various types of warehouse transactions, maintain the related master data, process inventory reservations, plan inventory transfers, prepare packing slips, perform stocktaking, and analyze reports based on the transaction data.
Register and manage warehouse transactions
- Goods receipts
Register a variety of goods receipt transactions. For example, receipt of inventory purchased from a supplier, receipt of inventory returned by customers, receipt of finished products manufactured by a subcontractor, and more.
- Goods issues
Register various goods issue transactions. For example, issue of inventory sold to a customer, issue of inventory returned to suppliers, issue of materials to a subcontractor, and more.
- Inventory transfers
Register inventory transfers between different storage locations, including equipment sign-out and return. You can also register intra-warehouse transfers to reflect inventory transfers in the same storage location. For example, from one storage bin to another in the same warehouse.
Maintain warehouse master data
- Warehouses
Register warehouses used in warehouse transactions. For a warehouse, you can also define related business units to indicate destinations for products transferred from that warehouse. A destination can be another warehouse, point of sale, or department.
- Storage bins
Register storage bins available in warehouses used in warehouse transactions
- Barcodes
Register product barcodes to use them to quickly add products to business documents.
- Batches
Register product batches to track warehouse transaction records by batch.
- Serial numbers
Register product serial numbers to track warehouse transaction records by serial number.
- Container types
Register the types of containers that will be specified in packing slips.
Process inventory reservations
- Place, change, or clear reservations for inventory already in stock or not yet in stock but ordered from a supplier or manufacturer. You can process inventory reservations directly in orders and invoices or separate inventory reservation documents.
Plan inventory transfers
- Transfer orders
Register transfer orders to plan inventory transfer operations. You can plan an inventory transfer from one storage location to another or inventory write-off to expenses.
Prepare packing slips
- Register and print out packing slips based on shipped sales orders.
Perform stocktaking
- Physical inventory count list
Prepare inventory list for counting and record the inventory counting results.
- Stock level adjustments
Register inventory increase or write-off according to the physical inventory count results.
Analyze reports
- Use a variety of reports to monitor and analyze available stock, stock summary with inventory cost details, inventory received, consumed, planned to transfer, and reserved.
