Viewing calculation parameters

To view earnings calculation parameters:

  1. Go to Payroll.
  2. Under Catalogs, click Earnings calculation parameters.

The Earnings calculation parameters list columns can vary depending on the list settings. By default, the list includes the following columns:

  • Description. A parameter name or short description.
  • Source. The source of a parameter value.

By default, the Earnings calculation parameters list contains the following calculation parameters:

Calculation parameter Type Description
Days worked Manually defined Indicates the number of days an employee worked within a pay period. The default parameter settings state that the parameter value is specified in the payroll documents.
Fixed amount Manually defined Indicates a certain fixed amount of money paid to an employee. The default parameter settings state that you need to specify the parameter value in the payroll documents.
Hours worked Manually defined Indicates the number of hours an employee worked within a pay period. The default parameter settings state that the parameter value is specified in the payroll documents.
Hours worked by jobs Dynamic, query-based Indicates the actual number of hours an employee spent to complete a task within a pay period. The default parameter settings state that the parameter value is determined automatically. The value depends on the employee's weekly timesheets matching the pay period, company, and department specified in a payroll document.
Norm of days Dynamic, query-based Indicates the number of working days within a pay period according to a company's work schedule. The default parameter settings state that the parameter value is determined automatically depending on the pay period and work schedule of a company specified in a payroll document.
Norm of hours Dynamic, query-based Indicates the number of working hours within a pay period according to a company's work schedule. The default parameter settings state that the parameter value is determined automatically depending on the pay period and work schedule of a company specified in a payroll document.
Sales amount by responsible Dynamic, query-based Indicates the total sales amount recorded within a pay period by employee. The total sales amount is based on sales documents such as sales invoices, shift closures, and sales slips.
The default parameter settings state that the parameter value is determined automatically depending on the pay period, employee, company, and department specified in a payroll document.
Tariff rate Manually defined Indicates an employee's payment amount for a pay period. For example, monthly salary or bonus. The default parameter settings state that the parameter value is specified in the payroll documents.
If required, you can edit the default parameter settings. For details, see Editing_calculation parameters.

To quickly find a parameter:

  • Sort the catalog by column by clicking a column header. To change the sorting order, click the header again.
  • Search the catalog using the search field above the list.

To view the details of a parameter:

  • In the Earnings calculation parameters catalog, double-click a parameter line. The parameter details are shown. For the description of the fields, see Creating calculation parameters.
