Product segments

Product segments are user-defined dynamic filters for the Products catalog. For example, you can have a product segment that includes only products that have 'table' in their names and were sold for at least 100 000 Euro during the last year.

1C:Drive stores all product segments in the Product segments list. To open it:

  1. Go to CRM.
  2. Under CRM, click Product segments.

Viewing product segments

To view product segments:

  1. Go to CRM.
  2. Under CRM, click Product segments.

The Product segments list is displayed. It shows product segment details. The details can vary depending on the list settings. By default, the following details are available:

  • Description. Name or brief description of the product segment.
  • Note. A note with additional details on the product segment.
  • Code. A product segment ID.

To quickly find certain product segments:

  • Sort the list by Description or Code by clicking a column header. To change the sorting order, click the header again.
  • Search the list using the Search field above it.

To view details of a specific product segment:

  • Double-click a product segment line.

Viewing product segment content

To view the products currently included in a product segment:

  1. Go to CRM.
  2. Under CRM, click Product segments.
  3. Double-click a product segment.
  4. In the product segment's link bar, click Segment content.
To force update a product segment's content, click Main in the segment's link bar and then click Update segment content.

Creating product segments

To create a product segment:

  1. Go to CRM.
  2. Under CRM, click Product segments.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Fill in Description.
  5. Specify filter criteria:
    • Double-click one of filter fields listed in the Available filter criteria pane, or drag it to the right pane.
    • Specify condition and value.
    • Repeat to specify as many filter criteria as you need.
      All criteria apply at the same time. In other words, a counterparty segment will include only the counterparties that satisfy ALL of the criteria you specified.

    For example, you might create a product segment with three filter criteria:

    | Description | Contains | table |
    | Product sales period | Equal to | Last year |
    | Amount | Greater than or equal to | 100 000 |

    This product segment will include products that have 'table' in their names and were sold for at least 100 000 Euro during the last year.

  6. Optional: Fill in Note.
  7. Click Save and close.

Creating groups of product segments

You can arrange product segments into groups as you need. Groups help classify the product segments and navigate through the segment list, especially when the product segments are numerous.

To create a group of product segments:

  1. Go to CRM.
  2. Under CRM, click Product segments.
  3. Click Create group.
  4. Fill in Description.
  5. Optional: Specify Grouping if you want to include the new group in another group.
  6. Click Save and close.

Adding product segments to groups

To add a product segment to a group:

  1. Go to CRM.
  2. Under CRM, click Product segments.
  3. Drag the segment to the group.

Editing product segments

To edit a product segment:

  1. Go to CRM.
  2. Under CRM, click Product segments.
  3. In the Product segments list, double-click a product segment.
  4. Edit the product segment details and filter criteria in the same way as when you create the product segment. For details, see Creating product segments.
