Duration and sequence of production stages | Specify the total duration as a fixed number of working days at the production stage. The system determines the sequence by default. You can change the stage sequence in the stage dispatching workplace. | Total duration and sequence are determined after the production schedule is calculated. It is automatically filled at production stages as a total duration. There is no option of planning by available work center types in the Production stage document. | Due dates and duration of stages are determined after the production schedule is calculated. |
Specifics | Set by default when you activate Use manufacturing. | It is assumed that you create a production schedule considering inventory as a bottleneck. | This option allows you to get the most suitable production schedule taking into account restrictions of the production throughput by the work center type capacity. |
Work centers catalog
At this stage, create system records of work centers that match current work centers of the company. Set work centers broken down by work center type groups. You can include each work center only in one work center type.
Work center types (or a group of interchangeable work centers) is a group of work centers that can execute manufacturing operations with the required quality but with different performance. You can use work center types to register production capacities of business units.
Work center is an equipment unit and associated labor. To execute manufacturing operations, work centers and related labor must be inseparable. Work centers can be machines, production lines, employees, production sites, and even shop floors.
If you select work centers in work center types, it does not affect the production planning tasks such as creating a production schedule. You can use Manufacturing Execution System only if you use work centers.

Set an indicator of the volume, mass, or the number of workpieces. They determine the volume limit of simultaneous processing.
3.2.2 Select the Synchronous load option button and specify the Working time. You can do it if the Use setup settings check box is cleared.
Note
Use the synchronous load when the processing time of local production batches allocated by separate routing operations at this type of work centers is the same. Set the start and end time of processing for simultaneously processed batches. (ITS)You can also select the Asynchronous load option button if the start and end time of the simultaneous processing of local production batches allocated by separate routing operations at the work center do not synchronize and the processing duration is different. The allowed simultaneous load is determined separately for each work center.
3.3 Select the Use setup settings check box, choose the Changeover time unit, and specify the Changeover time.
Note
This option allows you to specify the conditions for using the equipment in the production process. You can use equipment setup settings when you create a timetable for work centers as a local dispatcher. Specify the used equipment setup settings of the loaded work center types and the amount of load at the BOM stages.Once you select the check box, you can set the available options for the work center type in the subordinate Setup settings list. For each option, set the processing duration for the synchronous work center load and the color to display in the work center timetable. When you create the timetable of work centers, take into account the time required to set up the equipment (time to switch to different equipment setup settings). Changeover time unit specifies a unit of measure of changeover time. Changeover time is a standard changeover time when you switch to any equipment setup settings different from the previously used one.
3.4. Specify the Capacity reserve.
Note
Capacity reserve shows a forced decrease in the type of work centers capacity in the planning interval. The capacity reserve you create provides a greater probability to complete the stages at the local dispatcher level. When you make a production schedule, planning options are provided with and without the established capacity reserve.Once you create a production schedule, the work center timetable will have some idle time left according to the specified reserve. Use the parameter to:
- Create reserve to fulfill urgent orders.
- Perform works outside the production schedule.
- Change irregularity of the regulatory framework.
Set the value as a percentage of the total type of work centers capacity.

- Work schedule for the work center type.
- Work schedule of the business unit.
- Work schedule of the enterprise.
4. Specify the Work time factor.
Note
Work time factor sets the operation time variance at the specific work center from the standard execution time specified in the bill of materials. A factor value equal to 1 indicates the map of productivity with the accepted standard. The work center capacity is determined by the time according to the work schedule. A factor value greater than 1 indicates a lower productivity of the work center. Its capacity will be less than the time specified in the work schedule by this factor. A factor value less than 1 indicates a more productive work center in relation to the work center considered the standard in the work center types. Its capacity taken into account when creating a production schedule will be longer than the time specified in the work schedule.
5. Specify the Maximum load.
Note
The maximum load is the maximum volume of production lots processed at the work center at the same time. Define the maximum load in the load unit of measure specified for a work center type. You can set the maximum load only for work centers where parallel load is used.
