A quotation is a document that a company sends to a potential customer to offer goods or services at a certain price, under specified conditions.

A quotation is used in the following process:

Quote-to-cash Record a company's offer to sell goods or services to a customer at a certain price, under specified conditions.

You can use a quotation as the first document in the quote-to-cash process. For example, you can create and send a quotation to your customer, then create a sales order based on the quotation, then create a sales invoice based on the sales order, then create a payment document based on the sales invoice or the sales order. Alternatively, you can create a payment document directly based on the quotation.

1C:Drive stores all quotations in the Quotations list. To open it:

  1. Go to Sales.
  2. Under Sales, click Quotations.
