Budget types catalog overview

The Budget types catalog stores a list of budgets. Add budget items to each budget type to create the budget structure.
Actual data can be collected by budget type and budget item, according to the rules specified in budget items. Actual data can be collected for a specific project or project phase, or for a company in general. You can monitor the collected data using reports.

Use the Budget types catalog to manage budget types. To open it:

1. Go to Company.
2. Under Project management, click Budget types.

In this catalog, you can:

• View budget types
• Create budget types
• Create budget type groups
• Edit budget types

The Budget types catalog is available if the Use budget types and items checkbox is selected in Settings > Company, under Project management.
