Work-in-progress document overview

A work-in-progress document is a document that reflects the progress of manufacturing a single product specified in a production order.

A work-in-progress document can be used in the following processes:

Process Document purpose
Production Record completion of operations and consumption of components during the manufacturing process.

Work-in-progress documents are based on production orders that have Production process type.

1C:Drive stores all work-in-progress documents in the Work-in-progress list. To open it:

  1. Go to Production.
  2. Under Production, click Work-in-progress.

To help you process work-in-progress documents, 1C:Drive offers the Work-in-progress management workplace. In the workplace, you can quickly view statuses of work-in-progress documents, complete operations, generate production tasks, or generate subcontractor orders issued.

To open the workplace:

  1. Go to Production.
  2. Under Planning, click Work-in-progress management.

To analyze work-in-progress documents, use the following report:

Report Description How to open
Work-in-progress Shows the opening and closing balance of components involved in production, as well as component inflow and outflow, during that period. 1. Go to Production.
2. Under Reports, click Work-in-progress
