General details

When you generate a production document from a source document (for example, a production order or work-in-progress document), its general details are populated automatically from that document. You can edit them if necessary.

To learn about the general details of a production document, see the following table:

Field Description
Manufacturer A business unit that issues finished products.
A list of business units is based on the Business units catalog.
Production order A production order the products were manufactured for.
Reservation under A sales order (or subcontractor order received) containing products that were manufactured.
Work-in-progress A work-in-progress document related to the production document.
It is only available if Process type is set to Convert from Work-in-progress.
Number A production document ID.
It is automatically generated when you post a production document. You can edit it.
You can find production documents by ID in the Production documents list.
Date Date of the production document's register records. By default, it is the date of the production document's creation.
Process type The production process type. One of the following:
  • Assembly
  • Disassembly
  • Convert from Work-in-progress
Company A company responsible for processing a production document.
A list of companies is based on the Companies catalog.
You can select a company if the Manage multiple companies checkbox is selected in Settings > Company.
