Disassembly overview

Disassembly is a process where a company takes apart a product into separate components without processing them in any way.

In 1C:Drive, the Disassembly process is a part of the Production module that helps you register, monitor, manage, and analyze your production activities.

The module offers the following benefits:

You can also examine an illustrated example of registering a disassembly transaction.

1C:Drive offers a variety of documents that you can use to register the disassembly process, depending on your needs:

Document Description
Production order Confirms that your company is ready to fulfill an order to disassemble a specific quantity of products into components within a certain time frame.
Production document Registers completion of the disassembly process, records disassembled products and received components.

The chart below displays a typical workflow of the disassembly process. The process stages and their sequence may vary. You are free to use only the documents that match the stages of your disassembly process.

Managing disassembly transactions

Registering disassembly transactions

To register a disassembly transaction, first create a production order. Then, create other disassembly documents that reflect the stages of your process.

To learn how to register the entire disassembly process, see Disassembly process.

To learn how to create and manage disassembly documents, see:

When registering a disassembly process, you can create production documents based on production orders. This method is preferable to manual document creation because it:

  • Ensures traceability of documents related to a disassembly transaction.
  • Minimizes errors by automatically copying document details from the source document.

All documents you create go to document lists. For posted documents, transaction records are available.

Using document lists

1C:Drive provides a user-friendly interface for managing disassembly documents. All documents you create for your disassembly transactions are stored in document lists, where you can:

  • Monitor document statuses.
  • View document details.
  • Post documents.
  • Generate related documents.

Tracking transaction records

When you post a document, it generates transaction records. The records generated by disassembly documents depend on the accounting and billing settings. For example, if you set billing by contracts, the accounts payable records contain information broken down by contract.

In 1C:Drive, you have several options for tracking disassembly transaction records. The options include:

  • Product accounting settings. You can set accounting by:
    • Variants.
    • Batches.
    • Serial numbers.

To learn more, see the Products catalog.

Applying bills of materials

When you register a disassembly transaction, you need to determine which products in which quantities it will require.

Bills of materials are lists of components needed to manufacture a product (or, in this case, components received from disassembling a product). For example, a bill of materials for a wheelbarrow includes 1 bucket, 2 wheels, and 2 handles.

With bills of materials, you only specify a finished product, and 1C:Drive automatically determines the quantities of components that will be received after its disassembly. This saves effort and ensures document accuracy. Using bills of materials also allows for more precise cost allocation between components.

Allocating produced components to disassembled products

If you register disassembly of multiple products with a single production document, you can specify which components were received from which product. This affects production cost of the received components.

Making component reservations

You can reserve the components received during disassembly for a specific purpose, such as a sales or production order. The reserved components cannot be sold, transferred, or otherwise dispatched for any other purposes.

You can track your reservations using the Available stock and Sales order analysis reports.

Analyzing disassembly transactions

1C:Drive provides a variety of reporting tools for analyzing your disassembly transactions. For example, you can easily track the quantities of components received from disassembly of a specific product.
