Fixed assets catalog overview
A fixed asset is a long-term tangible asset that a company owns and uses in its business operations to generate income. This can be property or piece of equipment. For example, buildings, office furniture, vehicles, and machinery.
1C:Drive stores all fixed assets in the Fixed assets catalog. To open it:
- Go to Company.
- Under Fixed assets, click Fixed assets.
In this catalog, you can:
- View fixed assets
- Create fixed assets
- Create fixed asset groups
- Create fixed asset documents
- Set up fixed asset GL accounts
- Monitor fixed asset states
- Monitor fixed asset depreciation parameters
- Monitor fixed asset cost and depreciation
- View fixed asset documents
- Edit fixed asset details
The Fixed assets catalog is available if the Use fixed assets checkbox is selected in Settings > Company, under Other.
Note. The Fixed assets catalog stores the details of all fixed assets including those not yet recognized. For example, when you plan to use a certain vehicle, you can create the vehicle item in the Fixed assets catalog. When the vehicle is acquired and ready for use, record the vehicle recognition as a fixed asset. For details see Creating fixed asset recognition documents.
