Working with Kit orders

Question: What are kit orders and how to use them?

Answer: 1C:Drive has two sub-editions, Production and Sale & Services. Kit orders are only available in the Sale & Services sub-edition.

To work with a Kit order, first create an item in the Products catalog, create a Bill of materials for that product, and set the Process type to Assembly.

Then generate a Kit processed document, to consume the materials from your warehouse, and add the finished product to stock.

If the Kit order document is not available in the 1C:Drive configuration you use, you can get the same result by using a Production order document: simply set the Process type to Assembly and then generate a Production document.
