Filling reports and budgets

This chapter describes how to fill reporting forms used for budget planning and preparation of international and management reporting. For this, 1C:Perform provides the following main tools: the Report instance document and the Pivot table data processor. There are also specialized documents you can use to record certain transactions under IFRS that may affect data of reporting forms. For more information, see chapter "IFRS accounting".

Using Pivot table, you can operate with the entire data set of the selected report type. It also allows you to flexibly manage the set and order of the displayed dimensions. All changed values are written by the Pivot table data processor directly to the information registers that store data of reporting forms, bypassing any recorder documents.

A report instance is intended for working with a single slice of key dimensions determined by a value of a period, scenario, currency, business unit, or project, as well as report type dimensions. Create a separate Report instance document for each new slice. With a report instance template, you can fix data on the form and change the report appearance on the screen and when printing.

A pivot table is best suited for rolling budget planning or data analysis. Report instances are best suited for preparing and presenting reports, organizing data collection and data approval.
