27.3. Data Accelerator

NOTE. You can use more than one Data Accelerator process in the server cluster only if you have a CORP license. One Data Accelerator process in the server cluster is available if you have a PROF license.

Data accelerator is a special system of database management, in which the database is fully located in the production server core (in-memory DB) of 1C:Enterprise servers cluster. The Data accelerator operates only in cooperation with the database copies functionality. The Data accelerator operates only when the cluster is started under the management of a 64-bit operating system. The Data accelerator does not support operation under the management of a 32-bit operating system.

In one server cluster, you can start several Data Accelerator instances. To do it, you need to have a CORP level server license. With a PROF level server license, you can start one Data Accelerator instance in the server cluster. You can manage the number of Data Accelerator instances using functionality assignment rules.

The Data accelerator is optimized to execute the analytical queries processing large data quantities in DBMS and returns a small number of entries as the result. It is the recommended scenario of the functionality. When the Data accelerator is used in other scenarios, it may take the Date accelerator longer to execute the query as compared to the use in the main database.

The general scheme of the Data accelerator operation is as follows:

The production server, on which the Data accelerator will be executed, is set.
The databases are copied with the set property Built-in Data accelerator. The built-in synchronization of 1C:Enterprise is always used when the Data accelerator is used.
The list of tables to be in the copy is set.

TIP. It is not recommended to place the whole business database in the database copy intended for the Data accelerator. The list of tables necessary for the acceleration of one or several reports critical for work is recommended to be placed in the database copy.

The database copy initial update is started.
After the update completion, the reports can be used by the Data accelerator.

According to the functionality description, all data of the Data accelerator is stored in the server core. It means that the production server restart results in the database physical destruction. It means that it is necessary to perform the initial update of the database copy used for the Data accelerator after the production server restart.

Do not also forget that the application developer is responsible for the setting of the update process for the data of the database copy intended for the work with the Data accelerator.

The Data accelerator has its own restrictions in addition to the database copies functionality restrictions. The following is not supported:

The attributes storing the data exceeding 4 KB are not supported. The empty values will be returned in the case of an attempt to get such attributes.
