6.9.2. Client/server mode of infobase
IMPORTANT! You need to create a backup before performing any operation that might damage infobase data.
IMPORTANT! When you restore an infobase using DBMS tools, no connections to the infobase (including Designer) are allowed.
It is recommended to perform infobase backup in client/server mode using available DBMS tools.
Backup consists of the following steps:
- Database backup.
- Event log backup. Do it if you need to view the log after restoring a backup.
In this case, restoration from backup is performed as follows:
- Database restoration from backup.
- Event log restoration from backup if the event log was previously backed up.
