Hosting a 1C Web application

Q: Do Apache Web Server, 1C:Enterprise Server and PostgreSQL have to be installed on the same virtual machine hosted with my hosting provider?

A: Apache Web Server and 1C:Enterprise Server have to be on the same virtual machine (VM). The DBMS server can be on another VM but it needs to be reachable.

Q: Can Apache Web Server be installed on one virtual machine and 1C:Enterprise Server with PostgreSQL - on another virtual machine?

A: See above.

Q: If I want to make HTTP POST requests from my website to my 1C web application, do they have to be located a) on the same web domain  b) on the same virtual machine?

A: The request can come from anywhere, but the VM inbound rules should be defined to accomodate the way you are sending the requests when they come from outside localhost, and the 1C app should have a way to process HTTP requests.

Q: What do I need to have installed on my virtual machine hosted with my hosting provider in order to be able to publish my 1C web application from local computer to my web server hosted with my hosting provider?

A: You need to install 1C:Enterprise Server with the Web server extension module. Then you can publish the infobase from Designer.
