Setting up common additional attributes

Products can share the same additional attribute such as color, or size, or expiration date. In 1C:Drive, the predefined Products (common) category is used to store such common additional attributes. To set up common additional attributes:

• Create common additional attributes.
• Specify values of common additional attributes for specific products.

Creating common additional attributes

To create a common additional attribute:

1. Sign in as a user with Administrator access rights.
2. Go to Settings > General settings.
3. In the Additional attributes and information section, click Additional attributes.
4. In the Additional attributes window, on the left pane, expand the Products folder and select the Products (common) folder. This folder indicates the Products (common) category that is used to store common additional attributes.
5. Click Add > New and fill in the attribute details as described here.
6. Close the Additional attributes window.

The created attribute appears on the Additional attributes tab of all product cards in the Products catalog.

Specifying values of common additional attributes for specific products

After you create a common additional attribute, you can view this attribute and specify its value for any product registered in the Products catalog. To do this:

1. Go to one of the following:
   • Sales
   • Purchases
   • Warehouse
   • Production
   • Service
2. Under Catalogs, click Products.
3. In the Products catalog, double-click a product line.
4. In the product card, open the Additional attributes tab.
5. In the attribute field, specify the attribute value.
   If you need more attributes, click **Set up additional attributes** and create the attributes.
6. Click Save and close.
