Creating sales slips

This section describes how to create a sales slip in the Sales slips list. You can also generate a sales slip in the cashier workplace. For details, see Generating sales slips in cashier workplace.

To create a sales slip:

  1. Go to Sales.
  2. Under Retail sales, click Sales slips.
  3. Above the sales slips list, in the Cash register field, select a cash register. If a shift is not yet opened for this cash register, open_shift.png is shown next to it. Click this button to open a shift.
  4. Click Generate.
    The Sales slip (create) window is displayed.
  5. Specify a sales slip's general details:
    • Select Payment method to indicate how the products are paid: in cash, by card, or both.
    • Review and change other details if necessary.
  6. On the Products tab, specify the products to sell. Use any of the following options:
    • Select products available for sale from the warehouse that the selected cash register is assigned to. To do this, click Select. On the toolbar at the top of the displayed window, click Available. This shows the products available for sale. Select a product that you want to sell and click Add to cart. In the displayed window, if required, change the product quantity and price. Then, click OK. After you add all products you need to the cart, click Select. The products are populated to the Products tab.
    • Add products manually. To do this, click plus.pngand fill in product details. For details, see Products tab.
      Note. You might create a sales slip that records a retail sale from a warehouse of type Point of sale. Cost method accounting (CMA). In this case, price editing directly on the Products tab is restricted. If you need to change the price for such a product, add the product using the Select button as described above.
    • Find products by barcode. To do this, click barcode_search.png.

    Note. If you sell both company's own products and consignment products, you can use the Edit ownership tool to change the product ownership. For details, see Changing product ownership.

  7. To be able to specify the payment details for the selected products, click Reserve.
  8. To specify the payment details depending on the Payment method:
    Payment method How to specify payment details
    Cash only
    (in the method details, Cash asset type is Cash-in-hand)
    At the bottom of a sales slip, in the Received in cash field, enter the cash amount.
    Payment card only
    (in the method details, Cash asset type is Electronic)
    1. On the Payment by cards tab, select the POS terminal used for payment.
    2. Click Add.
    3. Specify the payment card details and the payment Amount.
    Each time you specify Amount, the Payment by cards value is recalculated at the bottom of a sales slip. It shows the total payment amount by card.

    Perform the steps for each of the two payment methods as described above in this table.
  9. Optional: On the Additional information tab, specify additional information about a sales slip.
  10. Click Issue cash receipt.

A retail sale is recorded. The sales slip appears in the Sales slips list with the Receipt is issued status.

Note. You might want to issue the products, but accept payment for them later. In this case, instead of clicking Issue cash receipt, close the sales slip. Agree to save the changes if you are prompted to. The sales slip appears in the Sales slips list with the Goods is reserved status. When you are ready to accept the payment, open the sales slip and click Issue cash receipt.

Changing products ownership

You might sell both company's own products and consignment products. In this case, in a sales slip, you can use the Edit ownership tool to change the product ownership. For example, if you need to ensure that the sales slip contains the consignor's products.

To change the product ownership:

  1. In a sales slip, on the Products tab, fill in products and click More actions > Edit ownership.
  2. In the Inventory ownership dialog, select a product line, click Add, and in the added line, click Show all.
  3. In the Edit ownership dialog, select ownership and click Select.
  4. In the Inventory ownership dialog, click Apply changes.
