Creating packing slips
You can create a packing slip from scratch or generate it from one or several sales orders. A generated packing slip includes prefilled details and a link to the source document. This saves your time on data input and ensures traceability of your sales transaction.
To create a packing slip:
- Do one of the following:
- To generate a packing slip based on a sales order, select or open the sales order. Then, click Generate > Packing slip.
- To generate a packing slip based on multiple sales orders, select or open any one of the required sales orders. Then, click Generate > Packing slip. Then, add the remaining sales orders manually (to learn more, see step 2 below).
- To create a packing slip from scratch, go to Sales and under Sales, click Packing slips. Then, in the Packing slips list, click Create.
- On the Main tab, specify general details:
- Click Add to select one or several Sales orders containing products that require a packing slip for delivery.
Products from the selected sales orders are automatically added to the Available items section of the Packing tab. - Fill in other fields as necessary.
- Click Add to select one or several Sales orders containing products that require a packing slip for delivery.
- On the Packing tab, in the Existing packages section, add the containers included in the delivery.
- On the Packing tab, in the Package contents section, assign the products to containers:
- To assign a product from the Available items section to a container, click the container line under Existing packages, then click the product line, and click
.
- To assign all products from the Available items section to a container, click the container line under Existing packages and click
.
- To assign a product that is not in the Available items section, click Add.
- To find a product by barcode, click
.
Note. The Package content section displays the products assigned to the container currently selected in the Existing packages section. Click a container to view its contents in the Package content section.

- Optional: Make changes to the product list if necessary:
- Edit the product information, such as weight or serial numbers.
- Click Change package to quickly move a product to another container.
- Optional: On the Additional information tab, specify additional information.
- Click Post and close.
