Creating credit notes

In 1C:Drive, you can create credit notes to record various business operations.

To view a detailed guide on creating a credit note for a specific operation, click the operation name in the table below:

Operation Document purpose
Discount allowed Apply a discount to an invoice issued to a customer.
Sales return Adjust a customer's balance due to goods return.
Accounts receivable adjustments Adjust a customer's balance for a reason other than goods return. For example, record a compensation for the delayed goods delivery.
This operation is available if the Adjust accounts receivable checkbox is selected in Settings > Sales, under Credit note.

You can create a credit note from scratch or generate it from other business documents (such as a sales invoice, sales slip, RMA request, and goods receipt). A generated credit note includes prefilled details and a link to the source document. This saves your time on data input and ensures traceability of your sales transaction.
