Restock reminders overview

Companies might need to always maintain a certain minimum stock of products critical for uninterrupted business operations. 1C:Drive provides the restock reminders feature that helps monitor and control stock level of such products.

Restock reminder is a notification shown or sent to an authorized person when stock of a certain product falls below minimum level. You can set up such notifications so that stock level of the required products is regularly checked and the authorized person is automatically notified on low stock level. For example, notify a production manager on low stock level of components required for a manufacturing process.

To set up restock reminders:

1. To enable the restock reminders, go to Settings > Purchases / Warehouse and, under Demand planning, select the Use stock level control checkbox.
2. To indicate products that require stock level monitoring and define rules for monitoring and sending restock notifications, specify a stock level control setting in the Stock level control settings catalog.
3. To indicate the stock level considered as low, create Reorder point settings and specify Minimum for each product specified in step 2.
4. If in step 2 you choose to send restock notifications by email, ensure that:
   • Email is filled in for a user specified in step 2 as Recipient of restock notifications. Restock reminders will be sent to this email.
     To fill in the email, go to Settings > Users and rights settings > Users, double-click the user and on the Addresses and phones tab, fill in Email and save the changes.
   • Service email account is created. 1C:Drive will send restock notifications from this email account.
     To create the service email account, go to Settings > Application settings > Organizer > Email and business interactions > Service email account, fill in the account details and click Save and close.
   You can fill in the recipient email and create service email account only if you have Administrator access rights.
