WIP document fails to post: what to check

WIP document might fail to post if the parameters of the document are not correct. Here are some of the cases that may occur:

• Manufacturing overhead rates are not set.

This message means that the parameter is not set for the department in the document.

To set the overhead rate follow these instructions:

1. Go to Production.

2. Open Manufacturing overhead rates.

3. Click Create.

4. Select Company.

5. Click Add.

-If the company has Departmental allocation, choose Business unit.

6. Select Cost driver.

7. Select GL account.

8. Set Rate value.

• Insufficient quantity on department:

If the components of a posted document are changed, 1C:Drive will consume the materials again, leading to a shortage warning, when saving the changes.

If the business unit selected in the components section doesn’t have enough materials.

If the materials used in production have batches with insufficient materials.

Verify the quantity of materials in the batch registered in the system.

Use different batches to fill the amount necessary for production.

Leave the batch field empty for automatic consumption of materials.
