Using data import from external sources in 1C:Drive

When setting up 1C:Drive for the end user, there is the need to import the data provided by said user to the application. Using the Import from external sources tool is a easy way to fill in the data that the user has provided.

This tool can be found in various catalogs thoughtout 1C:Drive, for example,  the Products catalog. To access this tool just click on this icon on the document list form.

Next, the user will be prompted with a dialog box.

Here there are two options, whether to get the data from a supported format document (xlsx, mxl, csv), or to copy and paste data into a spreadsheet in the data processor. If a document is to be read to get the data from, the user can choose from which row to start reading the data. This is used mostly to avoid importing data from the table header.

Once the data is loaded to the data processor, the next step is to select the fields that correspond to the data of each of the columns.

The red colored fields are obligatory. If one of them is not selected, the upload process cannot continue. If the obligatory field is a group of parameters it is not necessary to select all parameters of the field.

Next, the data processor will show the number of rows that will be added to our catalog.
